Gingerbread Community

Wow! These kindergartens continue to amazing me with their creativeness! We have been talking about communities this week at school. Today students worked in partners and small groups to create parts of our larger community. They worked so well together and our gingerbread community turned out great! It is on display outside our classroom for the school to enjoy! 

Moon and Sun week!

This week we learned about the moon and the sun. Students learned that the moon is lit by the sun, which is a star! We learned how the moon orbits the earth and the earth orbits the sun.  Students participated in activies to help them understand day and night and why sometimes we can see the moon and sometimes we can't!
