Gardens, plants, pumpkins, Oh my!

Today students were able to learn with Miss Molly a volunteer nature educator! We learned about the parts of a pumpkin, different types of flowers, and how to plant flowers and plants! Did you know that you can tell the amount of seeds in a pumpkin based on how many lines it has? A lot of lines means a lot of seeds! Students were each able to plants flowers in our playground gardens!

This past week, students visited the fire safety house. We reviewed what to do when you hear a fire alarm- get out and stay out! We also practiced getting out of bed, crawling to the bedroom door, feeling it to see if it is hot, peeking around the door to look for smoke or fire, crawling to the exit and then going to the safe meeting spot. Students did a fantastic job with this!

If you have not had a chance to talk with your child about your safe spot in case of a fire, please do so!

Enjoy the pictutes!!
